Die Grundschule f\u00fchrt die im Kindergarten und in der Vorschule St. Charles begonnene Erziehungs- und Bildungsarbeit fort. Sie umfasst sechs zweiz\u00fcgige Jahrgangsstufen. Die Klassengr\u00f6\u00dfe betr\u00e4gt im Durchschnitt 26 Kinder. Insgesamt werden ca. 300 Kinder von 12 Klassenlehrer\/innen und noch vielen zus\u00e4tzlichen Fachlehrerinnen unterrichtet, gefordert und gef\u00f6rdert, betreut und unterst\u00fctzt. Die Klassenzimmer der Grundschule sind mit modernem Mobiliar versehen und in den f\u00fcr die Grundschule reservierten Au\u00dfenfl\u00e4chen laden Gr\u00fcn- und Spielfl\u00e4chen zum Entspannen und Spielen ein.<\/p>\n

Fester Bestandteil der Grundschule sind neben dem Curriculum diverse jahreszeitliche Feste, musikalische Veranstaltungen, Sporttage, Ausfl\u00fcge und Exkursionen.<\/p>\n

In der ersten Klasse lernen die Sch\u00fclerinnen in ihrer Muttersprache die grundlegenden Kulturtechniken des Lesens, Schreibens und Rechnens. Daneben stehen Deutsch, Englisch, Social Studies, Religion, Science, Kunst, Musik und Sport auf dem Stundenplan. Der spielerische Umgang mit Deutsch als Fremdsprache findet \u2013 aufbauend auf dem Kindergarten und der Vorschule\u2013 eine intensiver gef\u00fchrte Fortsetzung.<\/p>\n

Neben dem traditionellen Unterricht halten auch zunehmend moderne Unterrichtsformen, etwa f\u00e4cher\u00fcbergreifender Unterricht, Projektarbeit, Team Teaching, oder Gruppen- und Freiarbeit Einzug in den Unterrichtsalltag.<\/p>\n
