Jerusalem – Die Heilige Stadt f\u00fcr drei Weltreligionen: Christentum, Judentum und Islam. Dort, wo diese Religionen direkt aufeinandertreffen, liegt eine einzigartige Schule: die Schmidt-Schule<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Die Schmidt-Schule wurde 1886 als private M\u00e4dchenschule in katholischer Schultr\u00e4gerschaft gegr\u00fcndet und ist heute in der Tr\u00e4gerschaft des Deutschen Verein vom Heiligen Land (DVHL)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Zielsetzung war und ist es bis heute, M\u00e4dchenbildung auf h\u00f6chstem Niveau anzubieten: interkulturell, interreligi\u00f6s, multilingual, ganzheitlich und unabh\u00e4ngig von der sozialen und religi\u00f6sen Herkunft der Sch\u00fclerinnen. Dieses Angebot wird heute von ca. 530 M\u00e4dchen christlichen oder muslimischen Glaubens wahrgenommen. Seit 2008 geh\u00f6rt die Schmidt-Schule zum Kreis der weltweit 140 deutschen Auslandsschulen und seit 2015 f\u00fchrt sie das G\u00fctesiegel \u201eExzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule\u201c.<\/p>\n

Eine Woche lang haben wir 140 Jahre Schmidt-Schule gefeiert \u2013 140 Jahre Bildung, Glaube, Hoffnung und Zukunft in Jerusalem. Gemeinsam mit unseren Sch\u00fclerinnen, Mitarbeitenden, Eltern, Ehemaligen und zahlreichen G\u00e4sten blickten wir auf unsere bewegte Geschichte zur\u00fcck und feierten zugleich die lebendige Gemeinschaft, die unsere Schule ausmacht. <\/span>Jeder Tag bot besondere H\u00f6hepunkte. Am Montag bildete eine festliche Er\u00f6ffnung mit zahlreichen Ehreng\u00e4sten den Auftakt. Nach einem inspirierenden Impulsvortrag Seiner Exzellenz Bischof Shomali am Dienstag feierten wir einen festlichen Gottesdienst in der Basilika St. Stephen.<\/span> Bei einer Panel-Diskussion am Mittwoch kamen ehemalige und aktuelle Sch\u00fclerinnen ins Gespr\u00e4ch. Ein gemeinsamer Grillabend auf dem Schulhof bot Raum f\u00fcr Erinnerungen und Wiedersehen.<\/span> Donnerstags beeindruckten unsere Sch\u00fclerinnen der 11. Klassen beim Format \u201eTEDx-Talk\u201c mit ihren Ideen und Kommunikationsf\u00e4higkeiten.<\/span> Der Open Day am Samstag begeisterte mit pal\u00e4stinensischen und deutschen T\u00e4nzen, Einblicken in die Aktivit\u00e4ten unserer Sch\u00fclerinnen, dem \u00dcberraschungsgast Bischof Bentz, spontanen Gesangseinlagen von Alumni, Sch\u00fclerinnen, M\u00fcttern und Geschwistern, Vollezball mit Eltern und T\u00f6chtern sowie Essen, Musik und Tanz bis in den Abend.<\/span> Ein herzliches Dankesch\u00f6n an alle, die diese Festwoche mitgestaltet und zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht haben!<\/span> \u2764\ufe0f 140 Jahre Schmidt-Schule Jerusalem \u2013 verwurzelt in unserer Geschichte, verbunden in unserer Gegenwart und voller Hoffnung f\u00fcr die Zukunft!<\/p>\n

53 neue Erstkl\u00e4sslerinnen durften wir in diesem Jahr an unserer Schule willkommen hei\u00dfen. Mit leuchtenden Augen, bunten Schult\u00fcten und viel Vorfreude starteten sie gemeinsam in ihren neuen Lebensabschnitt.<\/p>\n

Wie jedes Jahr erwartete die M\u00e4dchen eine fr\u00f6hliche Einschulungsfeier mit musikalischen und sportlichen Beitr\u00e4gen unserer \u00e4lteren Sch\u00fclerinnen. Sie zeigten dabei nicht nur ihr K\u00f6nnen, sondern bereiteten unseren neuen Sch\u00fclerinnen einen ganz besonderen Empfang.<\/p>\n

Zum Abschluss sorgte ein Zauberk\u00fcnstler f\u00fcr jede Menge Staunen, Lachen und Spa\u00df. So wurde der erste Schultag zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis.<\/p>\n
